I think it’s fairly common for someone with diabetes to see their doctor either every 3-4 months or every 6 months. Rarely do I hear of anyone going much longer. I typically go to my doctor every 6 months. I’ve been doing this for the last 12 years, give or take, so I know the routine and my doctor is fairly laid back. Maybe even too much, but I would hate to have a doctor that would demoralize me if my control wasn’t up to par.
