What are Carbohydrates?

Carbohydrates are the starchy part of foods like rice, bread, potatoes and pasta. they are also the sugars and the fiber contained in milk, fruits, or starchy vegetables.
Carbohydrates come mainly from plant foods such as cereal grains, fruits, vegetables, and legumes (peas and beans).Milk products also contain carbohydrates in the form of milk sugar or lactose.
Sources of carbohydrates are:

Fruits such as apples, bananas, grapes, peaches, melons.
Starchy vegetables
